Situated on a 30m x 15m site in plush society in Pashan, the Courtyard House transports its residents from the noise and stress of day-to-day life that is just outside. The compact site had an old bungalow that was taken down. In its place, a new one tailor-made to the liking of the new family was designed and executed.

The bungalow is flooded with natural light because of the courtyard, which is cleverly positioned to allow light and interaction to penetrate each level. The spatial planning deployed is to create a series of breathable, interconnected spaces designed for relaxed living. The ground floor hosts the public spaces, including the living area, dining room, kitchen, and television room. Moving to the first floor, you will find two ensuite bedrooms, the master suite and the sons bedroom, alongside an informal living space. On the second floor, a home theatre and a sprawling terrace complete the layout. Operable timber screens are not only a striking visual accent to the facade but also provide a layer of privacy to the road-facing master bedroom.

The home has a pared-back modern aesthetic mixed with luxurious materials and practical detailing.
